At Teretta Foundation, our mission is rooted in compassion: to create a safe, nurturing, and empowering environment for children in Tanzania who have faced abuse, neglect, abandonment, or extreme hardship. We believe every child deserves love, dignity, protection, and the opportunity to build a brighter future.
Established on the values of compassion, love, and community, the foundation exists to stand with the most vulnerable—providing not just refuge, but hope, healing, and a pathway toward independence. Our holistic approach ensures that children receive emotional support, education, healthcare, and a sense of belonging that allows them to thrive.
But our impact extends beyond shelter and care. Through our community-driven initiatives, we strive to uplift children, youth, and families across Tanzania, creating long-term, sustainable change.

We offer a secure and nurturing home for children who have experienced abuse, neglect, or abandonment—giving them comfort, stability, and a new beginning.
Nutritious Meals
No child should go hungry. We provide daily nutritious meals to support healthy growth, learning, and overall well-being.
Medical Support

Through our scholarship initiative, we help guides and porters pursue
college education or vocational training,
opening doors to stable careers and improved livelihoods for themselves and their families.
